AIESEC encourages its members to develop their potential as much as they can, as well as pursue various leadership opportunties within the community and globe. Listed below are several ways that AIESEC members can be involved:

Local Committee President / Vice President

By taking a leadership role in your local chapter, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of a company. Because AIESEC works much like any other business, members will have the opportunity to contribute in their strongest area (Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Corporate Relations or Operations). Executive Board members will also be communicating with the chapter's Board of Advisors and stakeholders on a regular basis. However, the Executive Board will be provided with a wide variety resources and support, including the presentations at National Leadership Development Conference and National Presidents Meeting.

Confernence Delegate / Facilitator

AIESEC conferences are a great motivational tool for local and national committees. During a conference, delegates will have a number of chances to network and build relationships with members from accross the province, country and globe. During these high-energy meetings, members will learn more about their portfolios and expand upon their professional skill set.

As an experienced AIESEC member, you are encouraged to share your knowledge and inspiration with the rest of the organisation. In this role, members will be working on their public speaking, presentation and teamwork skills. There are multiple areas of a conference to get involved in, including portfolio tracks, workshops hosted by external stakeholders and social activities. Don't be intimidated; anyone can be a facilitator!

Exchange Participant

The Global Internship Program is AIESEC's main product. The primary values of AIESEC support global understanding through the sharing of different cultures and languages. As an Exchange Participant, you will be exposed to a new environment while working for a reputable company. This can serve as an extremely valuable experience for your future career. AIESEC is present in more than 100 countries around the world and posts over 300 internship opportunities at any given time on their database.

Additional Opportunities 

Other leadership opportunities include positons on the National Support Team and Regional Director Team. Both groups are looked upon as a resource for both the member commitee and local committees. Being spread out over the country, team members are expected to work together in a virtual environment as well as travel accross the country on an occasional basis.

Since AIESEC is an international organization and is present in every continent around the globe, national teams are established in every country to manage their local committees and business partners; these teams are called Member Committees and comprise of mutliple VPs and Directors. Similarily, AIESEC International is comprised of a President and multiple VPs and Directors to manage the organization's international reputation and resources.
