Becoming a Member of AIESEC Toronto1. Attend an information session or contact our office directly for more information. 2. Fill out our online application. 3. Attend Orientation Day. This is where you will receive your first training session in regards to AIESEC and begin your grace period (three weeks) before becoming an official member. Sometimes steps 1, 2 and 3 will be merged into a single information session or orientation event. 4. Choose your role in AIESEC at Orientation Day! More information about the portfolios can be found here. --- At this time, you will be considered a new member and will have the chance to earn your membership by doing the following: 5. Register on our internal AIESEC website: myAIESEC.net. You will track your membership status and personal development on this global AIESEC database. Don't do this step before completing steps 1 to 4 - an AIESEC Toronto executive must first know you to approve your registration! 6. Schedule a Personal Development Talk. The purpose of this 15 minute one-on-one is for your VPs to understand your goals in AIESEC and help you develop your AIESEC career plan. We're serious about making sure that you have the best possible AIESEC experience! 7. Start getting involved with local activities and/or register for our Global Internship Program to work abroad! Members must attend at least 75% of portfolio meetings (weekly) and one General Assembly/Social/Event a month. The time commitment for AIESEC will be around 5-10 hours per week as a member. 8. Become recognized as a member at our next General Assembly! --- Please note that there is a completely separate process for those interested in applying to our Global Internship Program this year.
