FAQ

1. What does "AIESEC" stand for?
"AIESEC" was formerly a French acronym for "Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales” which translates to the International Association of Students in Economics and Commercial Sciences. Today, however, the acronym is still used but the meaning has changed, as our membership has grown to encompass a much wider range of disciplines than only economics and commerce.

2. Where can I go to learn more about AIESEC at an International level?

3. What countries is AIESEC presently in?
AIESEC is currently present in 103 countries, and constantly expanding to more and more countries everyday. To find out whether or not there is an AIESEC local in a specific country or region, please contact our office.

5. I'm not a Commerce student. Can I still join?
Definitely! AIESEC Manitoba is made up of a pool of talented multi-disciplinary students. In fact, there are opportunities available to students from any faculty.

6. How many incoming and outgoing interns are engaged in the Global Internship Program in / from AIESEC Manitoba?

7. What are AIESEC conferences?
Conferences are a special opportunity for members to network with each other and with leaders in the corporate community. At these regional, national, and international conferences, members learn about relevant issues that increase their global awareness, in-depth leadership, and core AIESEC-specific training. 8. What events are held by AIESEC Manitoba?
Our local takes pride in hosting an annual large-scale AIESEC Careers Day that takes place at the start of every school year, and attracts close to 100 employers annually. We offer a variety of other events throughout the year for our membership, alumni, and externals. Please visit our Calendar or contact our office for more information. If you are already an AIESEC Manitoba member, all event information will be sent out through our email updates and discussed at monthly General Meetings.
