  Community Investment Model

Companies can magnify their impact on the community by sponsoring non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to participate in the Global Internship Program. This model was created in partnership with EnCana Corporation.

Enhance the impact of your community investment

The Global Internship Program is an advanced community investment strategy that helps NGOs overcome difficulties in the search for talent.

Enable NGOs to access passionate young leaders

AIESEC interns are young leaders who are passionate about contributing to the community. In the past, AIESEC interns significantly contributed to the success of NGOs’ projects that otherwise would not have been possible.

Inspire young leaders to become responsible citizens

AIESEC’s young leaders are given the opportunity to make a difference at a local level and further their understanding of social issues from the Canadian perspective.

“EnCana is very proud to have been part of building this program model along with AIESEC. From our point of view the program is very easy to manage as AIESEC takes care of all the details of working with the partner nonprofi t organizations to place suitable interns. Feedback indicates that this program has had a signifi cant impact on the numerous nonprofi t partners that have been involved, as well as on AIESEC and the interns themselves. That sounds like success to us.”

“My AIESEC experience working for an environmental non-profi t in Canada has been remarkable. Non-profits are typically strapped for resources, both human and fi nancial. EnCana’s support allowed The Pembina Institute to have a full time employee at virtually no cost to them for 6 months. I feel privileged to be part of this incredibly passionate and talented group of people.”

Katie Laufenberg (United States), Intern, The Pembina Institute
