The
Basics
- AIESEC was formed in 1948 internationally
- AIESEC focuses on facilitating international
exchange and leadership experiences for youth
- AIESEC has a global network of over 23,000 members
who work out of 1,100 universities in over 100 countries
- Annually, AIESEC facilitates over 4,000
internships and 5,000 leadership opportunities
- Globally, AIESEC partners with organizations such
as Cadbury-Schweppes, Microsoft, Sony, DHL, among others

Internships
- AIESEC offers four different types of work
internships: Management, Technical, Developmental, and Educational
- Internships range in length from 2-18 months

In Canada
- AIESEC was established in Canada in
1958
- AIESEC in Canada has over 1,800
volunteer members who work out of 27 university campuses
- We facilitate over 250 internships per year across
the country, incoming and outgoing
- We run specific exchange programs such as Genesis which focuses on HIV/AIDS
awareness in Africa and India,
our Microfinance Initiate in Bangladesh, and Ser Mas in South America that
facilitates internships focused in Corporate Social Responsibility, among
others
- We partner nationally with such organizations as
RBC, the Canadian International Development Agency, AGF, Procter &
Gamble, the Birks Family Foundation, and Bombardier among others
